Carl Henderson founded Henderson Music Co. in March of 1963 in the suburb of Greater Cincinnati known as Covington, KY. Our Corporate Headquarters is still located on Madison Ave. 3 doors down from where Carl originally started.
Carl’s son Brian joined him right out of high school and helped in opening a second location in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Soon after the opportunity to expand south to the Lexington, KY area came to light. So in 1979 our 3rd location opened in Eastland Shopping Center, Lexington, KY. To this day we still can be found there, on the corner of US60 (Winchester Rd.) and New Circle Rd.
We have since opened a 4th location (our 3rd in the Greater Cincinnati area) in West Chester, OH.
Brian Henderson, Sr.’s two sons, Brian II and Chris are also in the family business. Brian II can be found in the newest Henderson Music location in Louisville, KY. while Chris is working out of the Greater Cincinnati stores.
At 83 years of age, Carl is still at the helm. You can find him at our Corporate HQ and at various outside promotions.
